This product is a great way of introducing learners to braille dot formations, and additionally, a great pre-braille fine motor skill activity!
Learners can simply put the counters into each section, representing braille dots, or use it to spell out words. 
Often learners with additional needs can struggle to understand the dot formation change in a braille cell, from reading to typing. This can lead to holding a learner back from processing with their literacy skills, until they can grasp the orientation change concept.  
This product can be used as a braille writing frame, enabling learners to practice forming words alongside their peers. 
The product is made from two layers of 3mm MDF, with contrasting 5mm black acrylic counters.
